The Cogdill Family HPER Endowment is established to make a difference in the lives of those we touch. The Cogdill family was established in Dawes County in approximately 1888 and became deeply rooted in both Chadron State College and this community. Chuck and Mary Helen Cogdill graduated with both BA and MA in the HPER realm, raised 5 children, all teachers, and together have influenced students of all ages in both Nebraska and Wyoming, in school activities, the classroom and the "Nurses Office". Parents John and Alta Mae were college employees, brothers Rex and Terry as well as extended family have benefited from their CSC experience. Our family values lifelong learning and sees it as a springboard into success. It is hoped that this legacy continue. We believe a healthy person is a happy individual who has high aspirations. You don't have to travel very far to meet a CSC Alumni or someone with knowledge and admiration of our college. We are proud to establish this Endowment.
