Criteria:

The student must demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students majoring in music or participating in instrumental/vocal ensembles but not mandatory. The student must be a full-time entering freshman with a 3.0 GPA or above, a current, full-time sophomore, junior or senior with a GPA of 2.7.

Don Parker, a native of Washington D.C., has been involved in total percussion playing in a variety of styles and genres. Over the years, Don has performed with artists such as Ellis Marsalis, Marchel Ivery, James Polk, Mark Whitfield, Ray Barretto, Oliver Lake, Buster Cooper, the Arianna String Quartet, and Jeff Jarvis to name a few. Don was an associate professor of Music at CSC from 1992-1997.
